The Full Cupboard Of Life

I finished listening to the unabridged version of ”The Full Cupboard of Life” by Alexander McCall Smith this past week. This is the fifth book in a series about the No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency of Botswana Africa. The head of this agency is Mma Ramotswe, a traditional and traditionally built woman living in Gaborone, the capital of Botswana. This series is outstanding. The stories are not so much about the cases solved but about life and culture in this African nation. Full of rich characters, like Mr. J.L.B. Matekoni who runs the best automobile repair shop in Botswana, to Mma Makutsi, assistant detective and secretary (who by the way scored 97% on the final examination at the Botswana Secretarial School), to Mma Potokwani, who runs the orphan farm outside of Gabarone. If you have not yet begun reading this series, you should rush to your local library or book store and pick up the first book in the series!
